Dangerous, honey! Ottawa Airport Security staff do not understand the difference between weight and volume. A client of RHH presented herself at security, intending to carry on RHH’s 140g (100mL) jar of honey in her hand luggage. She explained that honey is calculated by weight not volume and that 140 g equalled 100 millilitres. No, she was told, “we treat them all the same.” Huh? She was forced to ditch the honey .. and for some reason to scoop some out into the garbage. At least the skies are safe … from dangerous 100 mL jars of honey.
Seen Saturday at the official opening of the Prescott Farmers’ and Crafters’ Market.
Thanks to Una Rhodes and Brenda Steinburg for all their hard work leading up to this very successful day.
